NL Electric is a licensed electrical contracting company serving homeowners, landlords, property managers and business owners across New Jersey and New York. We install, repair and upgrade the electrical systems people depend on every day, and we do it the way it should be done: permitted where the code requires it, inspected before we call it finished, and explained in plain language before we start.

What we do
Our work covers the full range of residential and commercial electrical needs. That means whole-home rewiring, service panel and breaker upgrades, recessed and landscape lighting, dedicated circuits for kitchens, laundry rooms and home offices, ceiling fans, EV charger installations, generator hookups and surge protection. On the commercial side we handle tenant build-outs for retail, restaurant and office spaces, lighting retrofits, dedicated equipment circuits and ongoing maintenance for property managers who need a dependable electrician on call.
Who it is for
We are for anyone who needs electrical work done safely and to code. That includes families in older homes with outdated wiring, buyers who want a panel and outlets inspected before closing, small business owners opening a new location, and landlords who need repairs handled quickly between tenants. If you are not sure whether your project needs a permit or a panel upgrade, ask us. We will tell you honestly, even when the answer is that you do not need us yet.
Who builds it
The company was founded by a master electrician with more than six years of hands-on field experience across residential service and commercial construction. The crew is made up of licensed electricians and apprentices who have completed formal trade training, and all work is performed under the supervision of a licensed master electrician. We carry full liability insurance and surety bonds and follow a written safety program on every site. We do not hand your project off to whoever happens to be available: the electricians who quote the job are the ones who show up to do it.
How we work
Every project starts with a walkthrough and an itemized estimate, so you know what is being done and what it costs before any work begins. We protect floors and furniture, clean up when we leave, and walk you through what we changed. If something is not right, we come back and make it right.
